After gathering extensive feedback from the Aboriginal Canada Portal's Web users, the Job Centre was developed in 2004 to respond to the need for an on-line employment tool directed towards the Aboriginal work force.

This tool aims to meet the respective needs of two clients:

Employers
The Job Centre is at the disposal of all employers, including organizations who are equal opportunity employers. Potential employers are invited to publish job opportunities which are targeted towards the Aboriginal work force.

Job seekers
Employment opportunities are then available for browsing by Aboriginal job seekers from the Web site. They may search the job postings by location, job sector, or keywords. Opportunities from across Canada are added to the site daily!
